Would you like a deeper dive into your hormonal and reproductive health? Would you like to learn a form of natural family planning for trying to avoid or trying to conceive a pregnancy? Would you like to understand what's going on in your cycles each month? FEMM (FERTILITY EDUCATION & MEDICAL MANAGEMENT) is an education and prevention based reproductive health program. FEMM is for any woman at any stage in her reproductive continuum from a teenager beginning puberty to a woman in her fertile years to a woman in peri- and post-menopause. Learning to track and chart your cycle is key to understanding your body and feeling empowered in your health choices. FEMM charting focuses on patterns of 4 major hormones that help you and your healthcare advisors understand your health: FSH, estrogen, LH and progesterone. Charting will help you identify the unfolding signs and patterns of these hormones. You’ll be able to monitor your health more effectively and will have the information you need to manage your fertility. As your FEMM teacher, I will provide you with health and fertility education: basic anatomy, physiology, ovulation as a sign of health, cycle variations, and understanding and managing your fertility. We will meet virtually for three lessons each 4 weeks apart: Lesson 1: Intro + FEMM + Your Health Lesson 2: FEMM Expert Lesson 3: Family Planning (If you're married, your husband should attend this session with you.) We will chart your cycles together for a minimum of three full cycles and I will provide any necessary follow-up or consultations. Additionally, as your FEMM teacher, if we see two consecutive abnormal cycles or three in one year, I can refer you to a provider in Medical Management. Group Session 1: Lessons 1, 2 + 3 - Aug 2nd, Aug 30th, + Sept 27th @ 7:30-8:30 pm via Google Meet Group Session 2: Lessons 1, 2 + 3 - Oct 25th, Nov 22nd, + Dec 20th @ 7:30-8:30 pm via Google Meet Group Session 2 will be available to book at the end of September. Requirements: Must be 18 years or older, have internet access on a phone, tablet or computer and download the Google Meet app. You must attend all three classes virtually on Google Meet. I will offer a teenFEMM course in the future and will announce dates for that later.
