El día 7 de septiembre por la mañana confirmé la hora con Itzi para su segunda visita conmigo. Le anuncié que quería hacerles una revelación de género. No iban a saber el género durante el ultrasonido pero después. No supe exactamente cómo iba a hacerlo pero sabía que quería usar la hora dulce de oro o sea la luz de la puesta del sol para las fotos. Ese día el bebé tuvo 13 semanas 1 día de gestión pero medía 14 semanas a 8.0 cm el tamaño de una nectarina y nos dio la espalda pero alcancé a ver el género. Le pregunté a Itzi como se sentía si ya había pasado las náuseas y dijo que sí, súper mejor. Todavía tuvo el presentimiento que iba a salir niño - creo por Luis Mario quién también creía que era niño. Decidí que regresaran como a las 7 para cachar mas imágenes y reventar una bomba de humo afuera de mi local. Nos ubicamos afuera y Itzi tomó la bomba en la mano y jaló el hilo y empezó salir humo rosado opaco y después más intenso y casi se le cae la mandíbula de Itzi por la sorpresa. Manolo no pudo detener su emoción y agarró la bomba y fue corriendo, gritando, "Es una niña! Wuuu!". Ximena estuvo súper sonriente riendo y brincando y Luis Mario parece que quiso correr hacia el humo. Después Itzi me contó que le había salido una lagrimita del ojo de Luis Mario porque su sueño del hermanito se acabó. Él y su hermana se desaparecieron en el parque cerca y fuimos a estar con ellos. Ahí Manolo me confesó que había querido una niña. ¡No le había preguntado! Fue el único a quién no le pregunté si tenía una preferencia. El me contó que siente que Ximena es mas pegado a él. Itzi me dijo que era mejor que salió niña porque cuando Luis Mario va a la escuela Ximena se siente muy sola y ahora tendrá con quién jugar. Les pregunté si han pensado un nombre para niña. "Dayana" me dijo Itzi.

The Life of a Pregnant Woman: Gender Reveal
On the morning of September 7th, I confirmed the time of Itzi’s second visit with me. I announced that I wanted to do a gender reveal for them. They weren’t going to know the gender until after the ultrasound. I didn’t know exactly how I was going to do it but I knew I wanted to use the sweet golden hour during the sunset for the pictures. That day the baby was 13 weeks 1 day gestational age but measured 14 weeks at 8.0 cm the size of a nectarine and baby showed us its back but I was able to see the gender. I asked Itzi how she had been feeling if the nausea had gone away and she told me yes, she felt much better. She still had the feeling it was going to be a boy - I think because Luis Mario also thought it was going to be a boy. I decided they would come back at 7 pm for more images and to set off a smoke bomb outside my business. We found a good spot outside and Itzi took the bomb in her hand and pulled the string and pale pink smoke slowly poured out followed by more intense pink smoke and Itzi’s jaw almost fell off from the surprise! Manolo couldn’t contain his excitement and grabbed the bomb and ran, yelling, “It’s a girl! Woohoo!” Ximena was smiling from ear to ear laughing and jumping and Luis Mario wanted to run into the smoke. Afterwards, Itzi told me that she saw a small tear run down Luis Mario’s cheek since his dream of a little brother abruptly ended. He and his sister disappeared in the park nearby and we went to hang out with them. There Manolo confessed to me that he had wanted a girl. I hadn’t asked him! He was the only person who I hadn’t asked if he had a preference. He told me that he feels that Ximena is closer to him. Itzi told me it was better that it ended up being a girl because when Luis Mario goes to school, Ximena feels lonely and now she will have someone to play with her. I asked them if they had thought of a girl name. “Dayana” Itzi told me.
